ACTIE LIMITED ("ACTIE", "we", "us"), company number 17094703, operates the ACTIE AI film studio and the website at actie.ai (the "Service").
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: your name, email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we store a link to your Google account identity and your basic profile (name and email address). We never receive your Google password and we do not access any other Google data.
Profile and Showcase: the display name, handle and picture you choose. Content you publish to the ACTIE Showcase is visible to other signed-in members, under the controls you set, until you remove it.
Content and prompts: the text, images, video and audio you create or upload in ACTIE, and the films, images and music generated from them.
Purchases: a record of the Coins you buy and spend. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details.
Early Access: if you applied for Early Access, the details you gave in the application.
Contact messages: if you write to us through the Contact page, your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you.
Technical information: information needed to run and secure the Service, such as IP address, browser type and the times of requests.
4. How We Use Your Information
To provide and operate the Service: your account, your projects and media, generations, and your Coin balance.
To process Coin purchases and keep accurate records of them.
To send you service emails, such as email verification and password reset messages.
To keep the Service safe: to detect, prevent and deal with technical issues, fraud and abuse.
To maintain and improve the Service.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run ACTIE, limited to what each one needs: cloud hosting and storage, email delivery, payment processing (Stripe), Google sign-in, Cloudflare (which protects the Contact page from automated abuse with its Turnstile check, using technical information from your browser), and the AI providers that generate your images, video, voice and music.
We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of ACTIE, our users or others.
6. Your Content
You retain your rights in the content you create with ACTIE. Your prompts and uploads are sent to our AI providers to produce your results. See our Terms of Service for the licence you give ACTIE to run the Service.
7. Data Retention
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is open, or until you ask us to delete them. We keep contact messages for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, and records of Coin purchases for as long as the law requires.
8. Your Rights
You can change your name, handle and picture in your Profile, and remove your Showcase posts at any time.
To access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to close your account, email support@actie.ai. Where the law gives you further rights, such as objecting to processing or withdrawing consent, contact us at the same address. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Safety and Safeguarding
At ACTIE, we are committed to providing a safe and responsible creative environment for all users, including younger audiences.
However, while we take children's online safety seriously, no technology can guarantee complete protection. We strongly recommend parental supervision and oversight when children use ACTIE, including reviewing the content they create and view.
We encourage parents and guardians to support children in using AI creatively, safely and responsibly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will tell you about material changes by email or with a notice in the Service. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version.
